Examples of interiors Todd has designed: Edinburgh New Town Apartment

For this flat, Todd sourced period marble fireplaces, redesigned the bathroom, and specified all the interior work and furnishings. The new valuation, six months after its purchase, had increased by over £130,000.

Introduction to Barbican Interiors

Todd Gordon is well known as a jazz/swing singer, but is increasingly recognised as a skilful and talented interior designer.

He creates stylish, comfortable and functional homes that are not formulaic, and do not cost the earth.

He tailors his design to reflect his client's individual taste and needs. Too often, a design can initially impress, but subsequently doesn't satisfy the client's day-to-day lifestyle and needs. Todd incorporates elements that set a room apart in an attractive and practical way. Style with practicality.

For example, a coffee table should have room for coffee cups rather than be brimming over with plants, books and cluttering objets... A feature chair should be eye-catching but also comfortable to spend time sitting in it... A television should be be discreetly positioned (or hidden) but with the ability for it to be watched with ease...

Todd has created interiors in a wide range of styles for his clients. Take a look at the projects featured on this website; these range from Victorian villa and Georgian townhouse to a more contemporary, city centre apartment.

Living in the Barbican, Todd is adept at creating a feeling of space, even when, especially in London,  square footage is at such a premium.

Importantly, Todd firmly believes that good interior design shouldn't break the bank. Rather, it should be a relatively modest investment that adds value to the property - either for re-sale, or letting, or simply the added luxury of living in surroundings that are special.

Without slavishly copying, yet inspired by a mid-1960s and '70s feel, Todd has created modern, functional and impressive apartment in London's Barbican complex. He's carefully selected some of the best design from the period, but has also added complimentary features such as contemporary fabrics, John Piper prints and choice pieces of African art.

Examples of interiors Todd has designed: Contemporary City Centre Apartment

This flat's owner was wanting to sell it in a less than buoyant market. Todd's services were called upon to redesign certain elements, dress it and re-hang the artwork. All done very much on a budget and the flat ended up selling for 20% more than the estate agent predicted.
